Expiring compliance is one of the quiet risks in temporary recruitment. Nobody forgets on purpose, but when the reminder relies on someone remembering to send it, sooner or later a candidate works with an out-of-date check. Our users asked for a better way.

You asked, we delivered is our quarterly look at the ideas from MatchMaker users that have made it into the software. Every suggestion comes from a recruiter, a payroll team or one of our own support and account staff who saw a way to make the working day easier.

Compliance that chases itself

The idea of emailing candidates automatically when their compliance is about to expire became part of something much bigger: MatchMaker Automate. Alongside compliance chasing, automations gained two more user-suggested improvements this quarter:

• Monthly schedules, so an automation can run on a chosen day each month as well as weekly.
• GDPR awareness, so automated emails respect each record's consent settings.

Everyday improvements

• Spotler mailings logged against a contact now appear in the client's contact log too.
• A Days option in the column chooser, for agencies (especially in education) whose clients think in days rather than hours.
• The KPI tracker now talks about targets rather than goals.
• Position Sought is now shown on candidate screening.
• SMS provider settings now include sign-up links for our partner providers, making it quicker to get text messaging running.
